Fuck you Rotterdam! was a work produced during a two week residency at Outhouse, an external building curated Outpost Gallery, as part of Contemporary Art Norwich 2009.
It was a response to our ongoing discussions about climate change as the UN Climate Change Conference 2009 (COP15) in Copenhagen gets ever closer. We continually thought of the position of Wooloo.org who, through New Life Copenhagen, are curating the official cultural programme which will run alongside COP15. The crate containing two lifejackets, assembled out of the shelving in the room, was shipped to Wooloo.orgs’ HQ in Copenhagen as a comment on their responsibility of facilitating a juncture between science, politics, activism and art.
