Artists Can't Ride Bikes! MAG organise a procession to pass through Leeds city centre every year. Footage of the procession, interviews and stills combine to create a documentary that looked beyond the biker stereotype. The project took the form of meetings to share ideas on activism, politics and recreation.

Publication: A collection of writing and reflections on contemporary folk culture The publication is the result of No Fixed Abodes’ first call for submissions made in June 2006. The call asked for participation in a debate surrounding concepts of contemporary folk activity and its many facets. No particular medium was specified. As a result, many submissions came in the form of writing.

Ain’t No Love in the Heart of the City A visual cartographic work which looks at the play of various collective subjectivities that are being manufactured for Sheffield. This piece was commissioned and conceived for Art Sheffield 10.

Longlife Longlife, a film of imagined community in the future, follows the progress of a Brazilian representative for whom Longlife is merely a vision. Commissioned by Sheffield Contemporary Art Forum for the Sheffield Pavilion 09, the film was screened at the Istanbul Biennial 09.

LOGISTICA In December 2009 we were asked by the curators of East Street Arts in Leeds to produce a pavilion for the display of several works by Leeds based artists at the Amsterdam Biennale (AB09).

We the Others: Marketing Suite The houseboat fabricated by No Fixed Abode, Dan Simpkins and Penny Whitehead is a scale model of the defunct Green Bank marketing suite, visible across the river from PSL. Referring to this show home (that since Green Bank’s demise functions only as an image of what could have been) the work questions the narrative of regeneration surrounding PSL’s site.
